My life as an artist has 3 facets: visual artist, performance artist and arts educator.

When I was younger, I danced professionally, and dance remains the catalyst and core of all my creativity. The visceral experience of expressing emotions through the body is the fuel behind all my work. In whichever avenue of expression I am working, I focus on the same three aspects: dynamic energy/movement, vibrant composition, and compelling narrative.

My present focus as an artist is to authentically narrate the psychological, physical, and spiritual dance of aging. While I have been an artist/educator for over 4 decades, all the experience presented in this website—in visual art, performing art, and as an educator—were accomplished after I turned 50 years old in 2011. This period in my artistic life continues to be the most fruitful synthesis of all of my talents and experiences.
